Well, it has been a serious while since my last blog post folks and life has been a funny old thing these past few months hasn’t it? It never ceases to amaze me how we are always reminded, when we have the opportunity to quiet our mind and reflect, that the journey is always about us and that the destination is always moving deeper into ourselves, moving deeper into being.
I think we sometimes forget just how long changing aspects of ourselves takes, how much consistent effort is required to change a thought behaviour, an emotional response…and then just when we feel that we might have mastered it, something comes along not to trip us up but to enable us to check whether we have actually mastered what we think we have. Invariably we haven’t quite…and invariably some aspects of mental and emotional behaviours and responses will always be there lurking in the background and we will always have to be on the ball with making sure that we support new habits rather than slip back into old, and not as useful, ones.
I wanted to have a look at the aspect of Guilt – a truly spiritually disempowering strategy if ever there was one. Like the words of the song ‘I’m never gonna dance again, guilty feet have got no rhythm…’ guilt strips away every atom of self-belief that we may have had and leaves us with nothing.
I love Autumn! I love the change as we move from Summer into Autumn. The change from Autumn to Winter doesn’t seem to be quite so definitive does it, we just seem to slip quietly into the winter period almost recognising it with hindsight.

I am truly delighted to announce that I am hosting a spiritual retreat in the late Autumn, over the weekend of 7, 8 and 9 November 2014. And it is now only 3 weeks away! So excited, and so grateful to have the opportunity to work in this special and intimate way with some wonderful people.
So what are we going to be doing?
We’ll be setting the space and the energy for the weekend by creating a sacred mandala on the Friday evening and by getting to know each other. Continue reading →
Hello – and thank you for taking the time to visit my site. My name is Nicola Tonsager and I am a spiritual medium based in Lincolnshire, serving various spiritual churches, demonstrating mediumship through platform and one to one readings as well as taking workshops and running development groups but my journey didn’t start as a medium.
Change is the only constant in life, in the life we experience. Why? Because inherently we are energy, we are energetic beings and energy is never still. It is always flowing, moving, dancing, shifting, interacting and much more…but it is never still, never static, never un-moving.
Imagine an astronaut in his spaceship – and without his gravity boots (!) – and what does he do? He floats. And as he floats he does not remain in one position. He swirls, turns, rotates. He moves constantly. As energy does. As our energy does.
We tend to fear change as we see the consistency and the constancy of our life as safe and secure and we see unplanned and uninitiated change as taking that away. Continue reading →
